Title: The IT/OT Convergence and SAP’s self-service Analytics Platform
Abstract: The relevance of Analytics and Machine Learning (ML) in every industry has increased drastically. Data driven solutions rely on three pillars: technology, data science, and domain knowledge. Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) process engineers hold domain knowledge needed to transform data into value. We will show how to enable ENR subject matter experts (SMEs) with access to integrated OT/IT data, self-service analytics, and machine learning capabilities for ad-hoc analysis and for collaboration with data scientists and developers who prototype and productize data driven solutions.
Speaker: John Santerre, Data Science @SAP, Global Center of Excellence
Title: 10 years of Data Science, the progression and future
Abstract: Over the last ten years, questions about process and technological design have moved from open research question to established practice and shippable products. Using that progression as a guide what can we expect the community to tackle in the near (3-5 year) future? Special attention will be paid to managing typical issues related to Energy and Natural Resources.
